Get the cleanest scan
Place the page on a flat surface in even light. Fill the camera frame with one straight page and avoid shadows across the staff. Review every detected note before saving. If your build offers Enhanced Recognition, use it after the on-device draft for contextual note, rhythm, accidental, rest, and tie recognition. MusicXML imported from a notation app remains the most exact source.
Enhanced Recognition is unavailable
The feature requires an internet connection and may be temporarily unavailable when recognition credits or capacity are exhausted. Your source pages and on-device draft remain available; no page is sent unless you confirm the upload.
Live feedback is not responding
Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable PartCraft. Practice in a quiet room and point the device microphone toward the instrument. When Play reference during practice is on, use headphones so PartCraft grades your instrument instead of audio from the iPhone or iPad speaker.
Pitch seems an octave off
Rich instrumental overtones can occasionally pull a detector toward a harmonic. Try moving slightly farther from the microphone and play at a comfortable mezzo-forte. Please include your instrument, note, and device model in a support message.
